About me:
I am a geek from the South-East of England, who loves reading, drawing comic books, UFO's and extraterrestrial life, collecting trading cards, listening to rock music, listening to metal music, listening to the blues, listening to classical music, philosophical thinking whilst out and about, sci-fi themes, maths problems, chemistry, biology, documentaries... :D

I predominately build/convert/paint miniatures as I am an avid miniature wargamer, Warhammer 40k being my favourite table-top game. I am currently at University, doing Model Making- Model Effects. I find that there is something immensely satisfying about physically building a fantasy world, watching it become more alive with every layer of detail you add. The fascination of seeing someone turn in to a monster with the application of some stage make-up and a mask.

I try my best with my art. I know that I'm not that good. I'm always looking to improve and try out new techniques. So I appreciate any critiques or constructive criticism.

Marshy Bases:

So recently I have been trying out some experimental basing for some Nurgle Terminator squads as I don't have the original bases that they come with. For the first squad of Tartaros Terminators I first made the basic base shape out of that packaging that you get with pizzas. I used a compass and marked out how big they needed to be, then I carefully cut them out with a hobby knife. Once that was done, I used PVA to stick the minis to the base and added a bit of superglue just to strengthen it. I used the PVA first as the superglue eats through the pizza packaging. Then I added sand on the top of the base, on all of the bare areas and on the sides, to cover up the pizza packaging. I painted the base brown and dry brushed it and added some washes. The i used some water effects to give it more of a marshy/swampy look and added some greenery to give an impression of mossy-like plant.
